The year started out kind of rough, Grace got strept throat and earned another week out of school. Poor girl was miserable with a cough and fever and of course a very sore throat. We had temps in the 30s and the weekend was supposed to bring our first snowstorm of the season! It was so different being in the south, the stores were empty! Everyone was stocking up on bread and milk….and the schools were cancelling events of the weekend already with talks of closing on Monday too.
Thankfully, we only got hit with some freezing rain Friday night and maybe an inch or two of snow….but it was definetly different then what we were used to in Ohio! But we stayed in all weekend anyway and got our girl back to health and ready to go back to kindergarten!
